Testing English Proficiency UMPO Holds TOEFL ITP in Collaboration with UNESA

UMPO.AC.ID  -  The Non-Professional Certification Division under the Student Certification Section (BSM) of Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo (UMPO) has once again organized the TOEFL ITP test as part of its English language certification program for students. This event marks the third implementation since the collaboration began with the Language Center of Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA).

The test took place on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Building D, 3rd Floor, Room 301, with 14 participants. The participants consisted of students who had previously completed the English Skill Assessment (ESSA) program and met the minimum score requirement of 60 to be eligible for the TOEFL ITP. In addition to students, several instructors of the English certification program also participated as part of their professional competency development.

As the implementing unit, the Non-Professional Certification Division – BSM emphasized its commitment to providing English language certification services that are credible, standardized, and relevant to both academic and professional needs. Through collaboration with UNESA, UMPO ensures that each participant receives a high-quality English proficiency assessment recognized at the national level.

The TOEFL ITP test is expected to provide participants with an objective evaluation experience while reinforcing UMPO’s reputation as a university consistently dedicated to improving English language competence within its campus community.
