UMPO.AC.ID — Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo (UMPO) once again captured the attention of the industry with the implementation of a Campus Hiring program in collaboration with Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI). This recruitment initiative provides opportunities for UMPO students and alumni to join one of Indonesia’s largest banking institutions while strengthening strategic collaboration between UMPO and BRI.
UMPO Rector, Dr. Rido Kurnianto, M.Ag., expressed his appreciation and pride for BRI’s presence on campus. He emphasized that this visit is not merely a recruitment process but also a valuable moment for sharing professional insights, real work experiences, and industry knowledge that students need.
“We are very happy and proud to be visited by BRI, who has come to share various experiences, knowledge, and professional insights with our students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo,” said Dr. Rido in his remarks.
He is confident that UMPO students possess great potential to contribute and excel within BRI. Equipped with academic knowledge and experiences grounded in Qur’anic values and noble character, UMPO students are believed to be capable of giving their best performance if given the opportunity to join the institution.
“I am sure that if our students are guided and recruited by BRI, they will apply the best knowledge and experiences they have gained at UMPO—knowledge rooted in values and the Qur’an. This will greatly support BRI’s performance, especially in achieving its outstanding programs,” he added.
Dr. Rido also highlighted BRI’s strong commitment to empowering communities through the Kredit Usaha Rakyat (KUR) program, which has played a significant role in boosting village economies, including areas around UMPO. He noted that many young entrepreneurs in rural areas have successfully built independent businesses without having to work abroad, thanks to KUR support.
“We have seen firsthand how deeply KUR has reached into village life. Many young entrepreneurs have benefited from BRI’s KUR, and the results are extraordinary, empowering rural communities,” he explained.
Through this Campus Hiring initiative, Dr. Rido hopes that UMPO students will gain not only job opportunities but also valuable inspiration and professional values from BRI to build successful careers and contribute meaningfully to the nation.
“I believe that if our students can join BRI, they will inherit something meaningful—values that can help shape their careers and contribute to the development of this country toward true prosperity and noble character,” he concluded.
The Campus Hiring event reflects UMPO’s strong commitment to bridging students with the professional world while strengthening partnerships between higher education and industry. Through this synergy, UMPO hopes to produce more graduates who are competitive, globally minded, and firmly grounded in Islamic values throughout their career journey.
