UMPO Library Levels Up Five Librarians Achieve National Certification

UMPO.AC.ID – Closing 2025 on a proud note, the Library of Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo (UMPO) has once again achieved a significant milestone with the increase in certified librarians. Five UMPO librarians successfully obtained national competency certification across various clusters, including Basic Library Services, Special Library Services, Collection Development, Information Literacy Enhancement, and Library Service Promotion. The Librarian Competency Test was held on Thursday and Friday, November 6–7, 2025, at the National Library Auditorium, Jl. Salemba Raya No. 28A, Central Jakarta, DKI Jakarta.

The Head of the Library Services Institute (L2P) at UMPO, Yolan Priatna, S.IIP., M.A., expressed gratitude and appreciation for this achievement.

“Alhamdulillah, at the end of 2025, UMPO Library has increased the number of certified librarians to five, each with a different competency cluster,” he said.

He added that the certification reflects Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo’s commitment to consistently uphold the mandate of Law No. 43 of 2014 on Libraries, while providing the best services to the academic community through competent and professional librarians.

According to Yolan, this accomplishment also serves as tangible proof of UMPO’s dedication to enhancing human resources in the field of librarianship.

“We hope this achievement will motivate all librarians to continue innovating and strengthening information services that are beneficial, not only to the campus community but also to the wider society,” he stated.
