One Meeting One Big Family UMPO and UMK Sign MoU

UMPO.AC.ID  -  Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo (UMPO) has established a strategic partnership with Universitas Muria Kudus (UMK), marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The signing reflects a shared commitment to strengthening synergy between the two universities.

In his remarks, Rector of Universitas Muria Kudus, Prof. Dr. Ir. Darsono, M.Si., expressed his gratitude for UMPO’s warm welcome. He emphasized that this meeting was not only about strengthening ties but also about opening minds toward mutual progress.

“Thank you for the warm reception. This meeting opens our minds together for the advancement of higher education,” he stated.

Meanwhile, Rector of UMPO, Dr. Rido Kurnianto, M.Ag., highlighted the importance of synergy and kinship between universities. He underlined that the relationship between UMPO and UMK would only grow stronger through concrete collaboration.

“With just one meeting, we have become one big family. Between UMK and UMPO, there will be no fragile ties—only stronger bonds—followed by real activities that will advance higher education based on the Four Pillars of Higher Education,” he affirmed.

The scope of this collaboration covers education, research, and community service. Key areas include the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (Freedom to Learn – Independent Campus) program, capacity building for human resources, provision of experts, as well as organizing seminars, workshops, discussions, and focus groups. Other relevant initiatives will also be developed to expand the universities’ contributions in responding to the needs of the times.

This partnership between UMPO and UMK is expected not only to strengthen academic networks but also to create tangible benefits for society through the advancement of education, research, and community service. The synergy between the two universities demonstrates that collaboration among higher education institutions is a vital key to fostering an excellent and competitive generation.
