UMPO.AC.ID – Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo (UMPO) continues to expand its network and innovation in preparing graduates to face the global job market. As a strategic move, UMPO has established a partnership with Kinobi Indonesia, a technology company specializing in AI-powered career preparation services.
“The collaboration with Kinobi marks an important step in equipping our alumni to compete both nationally and internationally. Kinobi offers a platform that aligns with UMPO’s vision and mission—to produce globally competitive graduates,” said Dr. Sugeng Wibowo, M.H., Vice Rector III of UMPO.
According to him, Kinobi is not just a technology partner but also a bridge for students and alumni to enter the international job market. “Kinobi has collaborated with many prominent universities, including major state institutions in Indonesia. Through this partnership, UMPO alumni will gain access to broader career opportunities, both domestically and abroad,” he added.
Dr. Sugeng further explained that the partnership is not limited to graduates but also open to active students. “In this first year, we are deliberately involving our students so they can learn early about international recruitment standards and processes. This marks the beginning of UMPO’s greater steps toward global recognition,” he emphasized.
He also highlighted Ponorogo’s limited industrial sector despite its strong human resource potential. “Ponorogo is small, with limited industries. Therefore, we must open wider opportunities. Through this program, we are exploring overseas internship schemes—not as domestic workers, but as professionals based on their expertise,” he explained.
Kinobi, originally based in Singapore, operates across several Southeast Asian countries. The platform provides services such as an AI-powered CV Builder, career development training, and direct access to global job opportunities. Its technology ensures that users’ CVs are compatible with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) used by major international companies.
Through this collaboration with Kinobi, UMPO reaffirms its commitment to empowering Ponorogo’s young generation—preparing them not only to excel locally but also to thrive in the international workforce with strong competence, integrity, and global character.
