UMPO Vice Rector II, Dr. Dian Suluh, M.Ap in his speech expressed his appreciation for the presence of the participants and apologized if there were any shortcomings during the implementation of the activity.
"Participants came from various cities such as Mojokerto, Madiun Police, Jogja, and Nganjuk. Hopefully everything goes smoothly and the participants can return home with achievements," said Dr. Dian.
He also emphasized the importance of upholding the value of hospitality in welcoming guests, and urged the committee to be swift and responsive in serving participants, especially if there are those who experience health problems.
Not to forget, he conveyed respectful greetings and apologies from UMPO Rector, Dr. Ridho Kurnianto, who was unable to attend due to campus duties at the same time.
The Chairman of the Indonesian Ju-Jitsu Executive Board (PBJI) and Chairman of the Indonesian Ju-Jitsu Institute (IJI) Ponorogo Regency, Muryanto, in his speech encouraged the participants. He emphasized the importance of mental and physical readiness in facing the competition.
"Don't get discouraged. If we lack enthusiasm, it means we are not ready to compete and that can endanger ourselves," he said.
He also appreciated UMPO for consistently organizing this championship for the 11th time.
Muryanto hopes that in the future more provinces will participate. "The farthest participants this time came from Irian Jaya, there were three people. Hopefully in the future other provinces will also continue to participate and support the development of Ju-Jitsu sports in the community," he added.
This championship is an important event to attract talented Ju-Jitsu athletes and strengthen the bond between martial arts practitioners from all over Indonesia.
