UMPO Committed to Creating Qualified Professors through Mentoring Program

UMPO.AC.ID  -  Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo (UMPO) organized mentoring activities for prospective professors for two days, on 27-28 May 2025. This activity is part of the university's commitment in accelerating the achievement of the highest academic position for lecturers.

UMPO Vice Rector I, Dr. Dian Suluh Kusuma Dewi, M.AP, explained that this activity was attended by 27 lecturers who had the rank of Head Lecturer.

“The mentoring program for professor candidates is carried out in order to accelerate the achievement of professors. Hopefully, UMPO can soon have qualified professors,” she said.

Meanwhile, Head of Human Resources (BSDM) UMPO, Dr. Ana Maghfiroh, M.Pd. BI, added that this program not only targets head lecturers, but also encourages teaching staff (TP) and expert assistants to advance.

“One of the programs in the human resources section of Muhammadiyah Ponorogo University is the acceleration of professors, also to encourage colleagues who are still TP or assistant experts. That way, noletization will be realized for expert assistants and teaching staff,” she explained.

Ana also emphasized that BSDM is fully committed to accompanying the process of applying for lecturer academic positions from the beginning until the issuance of the position decree. “We are committed to assisting from the proposal until the issuance of the lecturer's academic position,” she concluded.
